Delhi Police Deny Protest Permission, Cite Previous Condition Violations
Delhi Police cited non-compliance with previously agreed terms to refuse permission for an October 11 demonstration by the Concerned Journalists' Platform. A senior police officer said the organization had violated conditions during an earlier authorized protest.

Delhi Police's Deputy Commissioner of Police Neha Yadav stated at a press briefing that permission for the October 11 demonstration was withheld because the Concerned Journalists' Platform (CJP) had failed to adhere to conditions stipulated during a previous authorized protest.
Yadav did not elaborate on the specific nature of the violations alleged during the earlier gathering, but indicated that the breach of agreed terms formed the basis for denying permission for the subsequent event.
The police official also referenced assistance offered to the family of Abhijit Dipke following the death of his grandmother, though details of this assistance and its relevance to the protest decision were not specified.
The refusal of protest permission comes amid ongoing tensions between media advocacy groups and law enforcement in the national capital over demonstration protocols and compliance procedures.
