Delhi Police detain over 3,000 ahead of proposed CJP protest at Jantar Mantar

Law enforcement agencies detained protesters across New Delhi and surrounding districts as they moved to intercept crowds heading toward the proposed protest site. Police deployed drone surveillance to monitor movement patterns, while detention operations were conducted at multiple locations including near Regal Cinema, Minto Bridge, and Akashwani Bhawan.

As part of broader preventive measures, police sources confirmed that over 600 individuals with prior criminal records were also taken into custody across all Delhi districts. Authorities stated the action was designed to prevent potential law-and-order disturbances during the demonstration organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP).

Police have maintained heightened vigilance to track individuals believed capable of mobilizing large crowds. The detention strategy reflects law enforcement's attempt to control the scale and scope of the planned gathering before it materializes at the central Delhi landmark.
