Delhi police file chargesheet in bus gang-rape case involving minor

The Delhi Police's special cell investigating the case has completed its probe and submitted the comprehensive chargesheet to the competent court. The incident, involving a minor travelling on an inter-city bus service, triggered significant law enforcement action following the complaint.

The chargesheet has invoked Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), which addresses aggravated penetrative sexual assault against minors, along with relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the country's new criminal code that came into effect in July 2023.
