Delhi's crime branch engaged in a shootout with two suspected members of the Bhau gang in the Ranhola area on Monday after receiving intelligence that the criminals were in the neighborhood to carry out a targeted killing. According to police accounts, the two men arrived in a black Thar vehicle and opened fire on the police team when approached. The suspects then attempted to escape toward nearby agricultural fields under cover of gunfire. In the ensuing exchange, police returned fire, striking both suspects in the legs. The injured men were apprehended at the scene and taken into custody for further questioning. The alleged plot against the doctor and the identities of the suspects have not been fully disclosed by authorities. The Bhau gang has been linked to organized crime activities across the Delhi region.
