Law enforcement in the national capital has moved into high alert mode as protests have erupted at multiple locations across Delhi, with security cordons established at prominent public spaces including Jantar Mantar, Minto Bridge, and Connaught Place.

According to police reports, around 150 demonstrators were taken into custody after attempting to cross barricades placed at Connaught Place to reach Jantar Mantar, a traditional protest site in the capital.

In a significant move, authorities detained several high-profile figures associated with the demonstrations at the airport itself. These included Abhijeet Dipke, Saurabh Das, and Ashutosh Ranka, identified as founders of the protest movement, who were apprehended upon arrival.

YouTuber Dhruv Rathi was also taken into custody as part of the security operations. The detentions mark an escalation in police action against the demonstrations, which have drawn participants to multiple locations across central Delhi.

The enhanced security measures remain in place at key public spaces as authorities continue monitoring the situation.
