Delhi's Barapulla Phase-3 Corridor Opens, Enabling Signal-Free Travel to AIIMS

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has inaugurated the Barapulla Phase-3 elevated corridor and Mukarba Chowk underpass in Delhi, marking a major milestone in the capital's transportation infrastructure development. The newly opened corridor will provide signal-free connectivity between Mayur Vihar Phase-1 and AIIMS, streamlining traffic flow across one of the city's key routes.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Public Works Department Minister Pravesh Verma hailed the infrastructure project as a watershed moment for the city's road network. The completion of the corridor is expected to reduce travel time and ease congestion on routes that previously relied on multiple traffic signals.

The Barapulla Phase-3 project represents part of Delhi's broader effort to modernize its transportation infrastructure and improve connectivity across the metropolitan area. The elevated corridor and underpass were designed to facilitate smoother vehicular movement while addressing longstanding traffic bottlenecks in the south Delhi region.

The signal-free corridor is anticipated to benefit thousands of daily commuters, particularly those traveling between residential areas in south Delhi and major healthcare and institutional facilities in the vicinity of AIIMS. The project underscores the government's commitment to enhancing urban mobility and reducing travel times across the capital.
