Delhi's draft electoral roll excludes 4.77 million voters ahead of revision deadline
Nearly 48 lakh names have been excluded from Delhi's draft electoral roll published this week, with the election authority allowing affected voters to file claims until September 30. The final roll is expected by November 4.

Delhi's Chief Electoral Officer released the draft electoral roll on Monday, revealing that 47.7 lakh voters out of the city's 1.45 crore registered electors were excluded from the list. The excluded names were categorised as "uncollectable" under the Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate and Others (ASDDO) classification.
Eligible voters who believe they have been wrongfully excluded can file claims using Form 6 along with supporting documents until September 30. The election authority will examine all claims and objections through October 29, with a final determination expected by November 4.
The draft roll was compiled following a Special Intensive Revision conducted through a house-to-house enumeration exercise that began on June 30 and concluded on August 17. Digitised enumeration forms were received from approximately 97.5 lakh electors, representing 67.18 per cent of Delhi's total registered voter base of 1,45,10,299.
According to the revised Election Commission schedule, the notice and disposal process for claims and objections will conclude on October 29, allowing time for the final electoral roll to be published before the November 4 deadline.
