Traffic congestion is expected in the Kashmiri Gate area and surrounding localities as a result of the proposed protest outside the Election Commission of India office, according to an advisory issued by Delhi's traffic police department.
The demonstration is scheduled between 12:00 noon and 3:30 p.m., during which period vehicular movement in the immediate vicinity may face significant delays. The Kashmiri Gate intersection, a major arterial route in central Delhi, is expected to be particularly affected.
Authorities have appealed to commuters to plan their journeys in advance and utilize alternative routes to avoid congestion during the protest window. Commuters heading toward or through the central Delhi region are urged to allow extra travel time and consider using bypass routes.
Delhiites using public transportation, particularly buses and metro services, may experience altered traffic patterns in the area. The traffic police have deployed adequate personnel to manage vehicular flow and ensure public safety during the demonstration period.
Residents and office-goers in the vicinity have been advised to remain updated through official traffic advisories for real-time information on route availability and to follow police personnel's directions at congestion points.
