Delhi University launches student union elections with electronic voting

Delhi University has initiated voting for its students' union elections, marking a significant exercise in campus democracy. University officials confirmed that a total of 1,000 electronic voting machines (EVMs) have been deployed to facilitate the polling process.

Of the total machines brought into service, 960 units have been designated for active polling stations, while 40 machines have been kept as backup stock. The reserve machines are intended to address any technical issues that may arise during the voting process and ensure continuity of the election.
