Delhi Woman Arrested for Using Minor Son in Drug Distribution

A 39-year-old woman identified as Pinki was taken into custody on September 28 following an investigation into drug distribution activities in Delhi. According to police, the woman allegedly enlisted her 14-year-old son to assist in selling marijuana, using the minor as an intermediary to avoid direct detection.
The arrest came after law enforcement personnel conducting foot patrol in the area recovered six small pouches containing suspected ganja from the teenager. Officers subsequently traced the contraband back to the boy's mother, leading to her apprehension.
The case highlights the involvement of minors in the narcotics trade, a persistent challenge for law enforcement agencies across Indian cities. The teenager's role in the distribution network suggests he may have been coerced or manipulated into participating in illegal drug sales.
Authorities have registered a case under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
