The Department of Education formally launched National School Safety Week on Monday at Cainta Elementary School, unveiling an intensified nationwide campaign aimed at curbing school violence and protecting students from bullying and online exploitation.

Running from October 12 to 16, the initiative will reach public schools and Community Learning Centers across the Philippines. The campaign integrates safety lessons and awareness activities designed to create safer learning environments for Filipino students.

The week-long effort represents DepEd's commitment to addressing escalating concerns about student safety in educational institutions. School administrators, teachers, parents, and students have been called upon to participate actively in the safety programs and initiatives being rolled out during the campaign period.

The DepEd campaign encompasses multiple dimensions of school safety, from physical security measures to programs addressing cyberbullying and digital exploitation. Officials emphasized that creating a culture of safety requires coordinated efforts from all stakeholders in the education sector.
