Detroit Pistons extend contract with centre Jalen Duren

The Detroit Pistons have secured one of the NBA's rising stars by extending the contract of centre Jalen Duren, keeping the 22-year-old at the franchise. Duren, who had been eligible as a restricted free agent, now remains with the Pistons as part of the team's core rebuild.

The All-NBA selection has been a key contributor to Detroit's roster, establishing himself as a significant piece in the organisation's long-term plans. His retention signals the Pistons' confidence in building around the young talent as they continue their competitive restructuring.

The specific terms of the extension were not disclosed in the announcement. Duren's continued presence in Detroit underscores the team's commitment to developing its youthful talent pool as it works toward improving its playoff prospects in the competitive Eastern Conference.
