The developer behind Yangon's The Central Condo project has pledged to recommence work on the residential tower after obtaining approval from the Building Standards Institute (BSI) following a detailed inspection.

Construction activities had been suspended pending the independent safety assessment. The BSI inspection examined structural integrity and compliance with building codes and safety regulations applicable to the development.

Upon completing its evaluation, the BSI issued clearance for work to proceed, removing a significant impediment to the project's timeline. The developer has now committed to mobilizing workforce and resources to restart construction operations.

The Central Condo is among several major residential developments underway in Yangon as the commercial capital continues to expand its real estate offerings. Property developers have increasingly sought third-party safety certifications to assure investors and buyers of construction quality and regulatory adherence.

No specific timeline for construction resumption has been provided by the developer. The project's ultimate completion date and total investment value remain under review as work prepares to restart.
