Meteorological officials traced the unexpected rainfall to a convergence of atmospheric systems moving through South Asia. A monsoon trough shifted closer to the region, combined with moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal, created conditions favourable for cloud formation and precipitation. The phenomenon underscored the capital's vulnerability to rapid weather changes during the pre-monsoon season.
