Dialog Axiata PLC has formalised a strategic partnership with IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation, the technology commercialisation arm of India's Indian Institute of Technology Madras, through a signed Memorandum of Understanding. The agreement represents a significant development in bilateral technology cooperation between Sri Lanka and India, with both entities committing to joint initiatives in applied research and innovation.

The partnership is structured to leverage IITM Pravartak's research capabilities and technological expertise alongside Dialog Axiata's market presence and operational infrastructure in Sri Lanka. Through this collaboration, the two organisations aim to identify and develop technology-driven solutions applicable to real-world challenges facing Sri Lankan society and industry.

Key objectives of the partnership include accelerating applied research initiatives, nurturing local technological talent through capacity building and training programmes, and fostering innovation ecosystems that bridge academia and commercial application. The framework also seeks to create pathways for knowledge transfer and technical expertise exchange between Indian research institutions and Sri Lankan enterprises.
