Director Tiwari Details Years of Work Behind Ramayana Film

Director Nitesh Tiwari has provided insights into the painstaking production process behind his forthcoming Ramayana film, underscoring the significant time and resources dedicated to realizing complex visual sequences from the ancient epic.

Tiwari cited the redesign of the legendary Pushpak Vimana—the celestial aircraft from Hindu mythology—as a prime example of the film's creative rigour. According to the filmmaker, his team revisited the aircraft's design approximately 50 times before finalizing the version that would appear on screen.

The director further illustrated the production's scale through discussion of a particular sequence featuring the characters Ravana and Jatayu. Tiwari indicated that this single scene required several years of development work before it was deemed ready for theatrical release.

These revelations underscore the ambition behind the project, which aims to translate the classical Ramayana narrative into a contemporary cinematic format. The extensive pre-production period reflects the filmmakers' commitment to balancing historical authenticity with modern visual storytelling techniques.
