Discontented BN ministers should resign, says Amanah official
A senior Amanah leader has criticised Barisan Nasional for maintaining a dual position of government participation and public criticism. Khalid Samad said the arrangement is untenable and BN members unhappy with the administration should exit the Cabinet.

Communications director Khalid Samad of Parti Amanah Negara has challenged Barisan Nasional leaders to make a decisive choice regarding their role in government, arguing that continued criticism from within the administration undermines coherent policy implementation.
Khalid contended that it is inappropriate for BN component parties to simultaneously serve as Cabinet members while publicly voicing grievances against government decisions and direction. The position, he suggested, represents a fundamental contradiction that cannot be sustained.
"If BN leaders are unhappy with the government's performance or policies, the principled course of action is to resign from the Cabinet," Khalid stated, emphasising that coalition partners must either commit fully to the administration or step aside to allow for decisive governance.
The remarks reflect ongoing tensions within Malaysia's governing coalition, with various factions occasionally expressing dissatisfaction over policy matters while maintaining their ministerial portfolios. Khalid's intervention suggests mounting pressure from within the government structure to resolve these internal contradictions.
