The most propitious time to perform Lakshmi-Ganesha puja during Diwali 2026 will be between 5:54 PM and 7:50 PM, according to Hindu calendar calculations. This two-hour period on November 8 represents the optimal window for devotees to conduct their evening worship rituals.
The timing aligns with several significant astrological factors. The evening falls within the Pradosh Kaal, a period traditionally considered highly favourable for religious observances. Additionally, the day will see the Taurus ascendant, or Vrishabh Lagn, dominant during the worship hours, which holds particular significance in Hindu ritualistic practices.
Diwali 2026 will coincide with the new moon phase, known as Amavasya in the Hindu calendar. This lunar configuration, combined with the Pradosh timing and astrological positioning, creates what many practitioners consider an exceptionally auspicious moment for seeking blessings of prosperity and wealth through Lakshmi puja, as well as invoking Lord Ganesha's grace for the removal of obstacles.
Devotees are advised to complete their preparations in advance to ensure they can begin their worship within the specified timeframe. Following the exact timing is believed to enhance the spiritual efficacy of the prayers and offerings made during this festival of lights.
