Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon disclosed Wednesday that he is actively recruiting Gabriel Go, currently heading the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority's Special Operations Group-Task Force for Road, to join the Department of Transportation.
The announcement was made more than a week after Dizon resumed his position as DOTr secretary. The recruitment effort signals Dizon's strategy to bolster his team with experienced officials from other transportation agencies.
Go's background at the MMDA, particularly his experience overseeing special operations and road management initiatives in Metro Manila, positions him as a potential addition to the transportation department's leadership structure. The nature of his expected role at the DOTr has not yet been specified.
The move reflects ongoing organizational changes within the country's transportation sector as officials seek to strengthen coordination and operational capacity across agencies managing the nation's infrastructure and traffic management systems.
