DMK chief Stalin challenges poll victory in Tamil Nadu assembly election

Stalin filed a legal challenge against the victory of Tamil Maanila Congress candidate V.S. Babu in the Kolathur Assembly constituency, citing concerns over the electoral process and result declaration. The challenge specifically seeks a court-directed 100 per cent manual verification of all voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) slips that were generated during polling in Kolathur. Stalin's legal team has also requested comprehensive checking and authentication of all 286 electronic voting machines that were deployed across the constituency.
