MANILA — Sixty-six overseas Filipino workers and their dependents in Batangas province received a combined P4.075 million in financial assistance from the Department of Migrant Workers, the agency announced following a distribution event at the Batangas Provincial Capitol.

The aid was channeled through the DMW's AKSYON Fund as part of the "Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat" program, which aims to provide targeted support to vulnerable migrant worker households and their families.

The assistance initiative reflects continued government efforts to address the financial needs of overseas Filipino workers and their dependents, particularly those based in the Calabarzon region. The DMW has been conducting similar distribution drives across the country to ensure broader reach of its assistance programs.

The agency continues to expand its support services for OFWs and their families, offering not only financial aid but also skills training and livelihood programs designed to enhance economic resilience in migrant worker communities.
