KUCHING: DNA testing is currently being carried out on the five victims of the Flying Doctor Service helicopter crash that occurred in Long Lellang, Sarawak, police said on Wednesday. The post-mortem examinations on all five individuals have been completed, with results pending from the genetic analysis to assist in formal identification procedures. Sarawak police confirmed that the DNA tests are a standard part of the investigation and identification process following the aviation incident. The crash claimed the lives of all five people on board the aircraft operated by the Flying Doctor Service, which provides emergency medical transport across remote areas of East Malaysia. Authorities have not yet disclosed details regarding the cause of the crash or the identities of those killed pending completion of the identification process.
