MANILA — The Department of Justice has begun evaluating human trafficking charges brought by the National Bureau of Investigation against Batangas 1st District Representative Leandro Leviste, former Negros Oriental Representative Jacinto "Jing" Paras, and five additional individuals.
The qualified human trafficking complaint centers on allegations of a purported "honey trap" operation designed to compromise Executive Secretary Ralph Recto. The scheme reportedly involved deceptive practices aimed at placing the high-ranking government official in a compromising situation.
