MANILA — Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon on Thursday rejected reports suggesting he would return to the helm of the Department of Transportation, cautioning the public against crediting unverified accounts of government reorganization.
When pressed to address widespread speculation about a Cabinet reshuffle that would see him reassumed leadership of the DOTr, Dizon dismissed the claims outright, telling inquirers not to give weight to such reports.
The denial comes as various Cabinet reorganization scenarios continue to circulate in political circles, though official confirmation of any major personnel changes remains absent from the executive branch.
Dizon, who previously served as Transportation secretary, has held his current post at the Department of Public Works and Highways for an extended period. His categorical rejection of the transfer reports adds to ongoing uncertainty surrounding possible shifts in the President's Cabinet lineup.
