MANILA — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will resume the second phase of rehabilitation works on Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (Edsa) starting Friday evening, October 16, the agency said Thursday.

The DPWH urged motorists to avoid the affected sections and utilize alternate routes to minimize traffic disruptions during the construction period. The rehabilitation activities will be conducted across multiple sections of the major thoroughfare, which serves as a critical transport artery in Metro Manila.

Phase 2 of the Edsa rehabilitation project is part of the government's ongoing infrastructure improvement initiative aimed at enhancing road conditions and safety along one of the country's busiest avenues. The DPWH has not disclosed the specific duration of the works or provided details on which segments of Edsa will be most affected.

Mototorists are encouraged to monitor updates from the DPWH and local traffic authorities for real-time information regarding road conditions and recommended detour routes during the rehabilitation period.
