Drug agents arrest suspect, seize P1.7M shabu in Cotabato City operation
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency officials have arrested a suspected drug dealer and confiscated approximately P1.7 million worth of methamphetamine following a controlled buy-bust operation in Cotabato City.

The operation took place in Poblacion 5 on Tuesday, September 29, with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–Maguindanao del Norte Provincial Office (PDEA-MagNor) leading the joint enforcement effort. The suspect was apprehended during the undercover transaction, during which authorities recovered the large cache of suspected shabu.
The coordinated operation represents ongoing efforts by regional drug enforcement authorities to combat the distribution of illegal narcotics in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. The PDEA-BARMM Regional Office coordinated with provincial counterparts to execute the operation.
The arrested suspect is currently in police custody pending further investigation and the filing of appropriate charges. Authorities have referred the case to the prosecution for review and formal charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The confiscated narcotics have been secured as evidence.
