Law enforcement authorities in Cagayan de Oro City apprehended two individuals and confiscated approximately P1.08 million worth of suspected shabu following a controlled buy-bust operation in Barangay Gusa on Monday evening.

Personnel from the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-10 (RPDEU-10) coordinated with local police units and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to execute the operation, which targeted suspected drug dealers operating in the area. The enforcement action resulted in the seizure of the contraband and the immediate arrest of the two suspects.

The apprehended individuals have been turned over to appropriate authorities for processing and further investigation. Charges related to drug trafficking are expected to be filed against them in accordance with Philippine anti-narcotics legislation.

The operation underscores continued collaborative efforts between national and regional drug enforcement agencies to dismantle illicit drug networks across the Mindanao region. Authorities have pledged to intensify similar enforcement actions targeting suppliers and distributors of controlled substances.
