Drug enforcement agencies arrest 14 suspects in Rizal, Cavite operations

LUCENA CITY — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) CALABARZON office reported the arrest of 14 suspected drug traffickers during separate buy-bust operations conducted in Rizal and Cavite provinces over the weekend.

The PDEA regional office disclosed the enforcement actions in a statement released Sunday, August 30, noting that agents worked in coordination with local police units to carry out the operations across multiple locations in both provinces.

The arrested individuals are currently undergoing processing and will face charges related to illegal drug trafficking and possession. Authorities have not yet released details regarding the specific amounts of narcotics seized or the identities of the suspects pending completion of initial investigations.

The weekend operations are part of the ongoing joint efforts between the PDEA and Philippine National Police to combat drug trafficking activities in the CALABARZON region, which encompasses the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon.
