Authorities in Agusan del Norte carried out a drug enforcement operation in Buenavista on Tuesday that resulted in the confiscation of suspected methamphetamine but fell short of its primary objective. According to a statement issued Wednesday by the Police Regional Office 13 (PRO-13), personnel from the Buenavista Municipal Police Station, operating in coordination with other law enforcement units, conducted the raid that netted contraband valued at more than P103,000.

While the operation successfully seized the illegal drugs, the primary suspect managed to evade arrest during the enforcement action. Details regarding the suspect's identity and the circumstances that allowed the individual to escape the police cordon remain under investigation.

The recovered methamphetamine has been turned over to appropriate authorities for documentation and safekeeping as part of standard drug enforcement procedures. PRO-13 indicated that follow-up operations may be conducted to locate and apprehend the fugitive suspect.
