Drug suspects ram vehicle into anti-narcotics officers in Kerala

Two officers from the Directorate of Anti-Narcotics and Smuggling Action Force (DANSAF) sustained injuries after a vehicle collided with their motorcycle in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday. The officers were on duty when the collision occurred, sending both riders to the ground.
According to preliminary reports, a car deliberately rammed the motorcycle carrying the DANSAF personnel, raising suspicion of a deliberate attempt to evade law enforcement. The incident has been registered as a case of deliberate harm against officers in the course of their official duties.
The collision is believed to be connected to a drug smuggling investigation being undertaken by the agency. Authorities have launched a search operation to identify and apprehend the vehicle occupants. The identities of the occupants remain unknown at present.
Both injured officers have been admitted for medical treatment. Their conditions are reported to be stable. The incident underscores the operational risks faced by anti-narcotics personnel in the region as they crack down on smuggling networks.
