Drunk driver pursued woman motorcyclist for 2km before ramming: SIT
A Special Investigation Team probing the hit-and-case involving female biker Shivani Chauhan in Gurugram has revealed that the accused was intoxicated and deliberately chased her before striking her vehicle. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) examining the case of a woman motorcyclist struck by a vehicle in Gurugram has disclosed that the accused, Kalyan Bansla, was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. According to the investigation's findings, Bansla deliberately pursued the motorcyclist for approximately 2 kilometres before ramming her bike, suggesting a calculated act rather than an accidental collision.
The probe has established that Bansla's actions were driven by intoxication and arrogance. Law enforcement officials have initiated chemical analysis of blood and urine samples collected from the accused to establish the extent of his impairment during the incident.
As part of the ongoing investigation, police are also conducting detailed questioning of other individuals who were present in Bansla's vehicle at the time of the incident.
