Three students were killed in a collision involving a Mini Cooper car and a scooter in Nedumbassery, Ernakulam district, Kerala on Tuesday. The deceased have been identified as Devika, Gopika, and Ijaz, all scooter passengers at the time of the accident.

Police arrested the Mini Cooper's driver, Suhail Sajiv, at the scene. During preliminary questioning, Sajiv admitted to consuming beer before driving.
