The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has expanded its peacebuilding and economic development efforts in Mindanao through the Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (Pamana) program. A formal launching ceremony was held Wednesday in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, to roll out the initiative across the region.
The program distributes livelihood seed capital to support economic activities in conflict-affected and development-lagging areas. By combining financial assistance with community-based initiatives, the DSWD aims to improve living conditions while promoting stability in Mindanao's provinces.
Beyond economic interventions, the Pamana program incorporates cultural preservation components designed to strengthen social cohesion and local identity.
