MALAYBALAY CITY — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bukidnon has issued show-cause orders to five commercial establishments in Valencia and Malaybalay for conducting unauthorized sales promotions via social media channels. The action underscores growing regulatory concerns over online marketing practices that circumvent consumer protection requirements.

The DTI's Consumer Protection Division ramped up monitoring operations after observing increased instances of unregistered promotional campaigns across digital platforms. Show-cause orders require the affected businesses to provide written explanations and documentation justifying their promotional activities or face potential penalties.
