The Zandvoort circuit in the Netherlands will stage its last Formula 1 race this season, bringing an end to one of the calendar's most enthusiastic events since the venue's comeback in 2021 following a 36-year hiatus.
The coastal circuit, located near Amsterdam, has established itself as a fan favourite with some of the most vibrant atmospheres on the F1 calendar in recent years. The revival of Dutch motorsport proved a major commercial and sporting success, drawing large crowds and generating significant interest in the sport across the region.
The decision to conclude the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort marks the end of a brief but memorable chapter in Formula 1 history. The circuit had hosted a Grand Prix continuously from 1985 until its final race in 1985, before a prolonged absence that lasted until its triumphant return more than three decades later.
With the Dutch Grand Prix departing, the F1 calendar will undergo further changes in the coming seasons as promoters seek to expand the sport's global footprint. The loss of the Zandvoort event represents a significant moment for Dutch motorsport fans and the broader European racing community.
