MANILA — Vice President Sara Duterte has retained majority approval and public trust among Filipinos, latest polling data shows. The Pulse Asia Research Ulat ng Bayan survey, conducted from September 17 to 24, found that the Vice President continues to command support from a slim majority of respondents across the nation.
In contrast, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s approval ratings have softened, with nearly half of survey respondents expressing disapproval of his performance in office. The same proportion indicated they lack trust in the Chief Executive, reflecting a notable shift in public sentiment toward the administration.
The survey results highlight the diverging political fortunes of the two highest-ranking officials in the Philippine government, with the Vice President maintaining her standing while the President faces headwinds in public confidence. The timing of the poll offers a snapshot of public opinion during a period when both officials have assumed prominent roles in shaping national policy and governance.
