Duterte's legal team seeks NBI postponement over missing evidence
Vice President Sara Duterte's lawyers have asked the National Bureau of Investigation to reschedule an investigative conference regarding cash delivery allegations, citing failure to receive crucial documentary evidence from the accuser.

The legal representatives of Vice President Sara Duterte have formally requested that the National Bureau of Investigation postpone a scheduled investigative conference on allegations made by retired police officer Rodulfo Gracioso Jr.
Duterte's camp cited procedural concerns, alleging that the NBI had failed to provide them with a copy of Gracioso's affidavit ahead of the meeting. The document is central to the allegations that Gracioso has made against the Vice President.
The request reflects standard legal practice requiring all parties in an investigation to receive relevant evidence in advance of formal proceedings. Without access to Gracioso's sworn statement, Duterte's legal team contends they cannot adequately prepare their response or defense.
Gracioso, a former Philippine National Police officer, has publicly made allegations regarding purported cash deliveries. The NBI initiated the investigative conference as part of its inquiry into these claims. The outcome of the rescheduling request remains pending as of reporting time.
