TACLOBAN CITY — Jobseekers in Eastern Visayas are gaining access to thousands of employment opportunities through a coordinated hiring campaign spanning three cities in the region.
The employment caravan, organized by the Office of Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), has opened more than 6,000 positions across various industries and skill levels.
The Tacloban leg of the caravan took place on Saturday, October 10, drawing participants from across the province. The job fairs are designed to connect employers directly with qualified workers, streamlining the hiring process and addressing labor market gaps in the Eastern Visayas region.
The initiative reflects efforts to boost employment and economic activity in the region during a period of recovery and growth. Similar hiring events are being conducted across the three cities as part of the broader employment campaign.
