The Enforcement Directorate intensified its probe into terror financing activities in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, conducting simultaneous raids at four premises across Srinagar. The coordinated enforcement action is part of a broader investigation into networks suspected of channelling funds for terrorist operations in the region.
The investigation has centred on Umar Adil Dar and associates allegedly involved in orchestrating terror funding arrangements. Preliminary reports suggest the network operated through multiple channels to mobilise and distribute financial resources linked to militant activities.
The ED's move reflects heightened scrutiny by central agencies into financial mechanisms used to support terror-related activities in Kashmir. Such investigations have become a key component of India's counter-terrorism strategy, targeting the financial infrastructure that enables militant operations.
Details of materials seized and the extent of suspected financial flows under investigation remain under wraps as the probe progresses. The agency is expected to expand its examination of transaction records and financial linkages as the case develops, officials indicated.
