ED Raids Former Chhattisgarh CM's Office in PSC Probe

Federal anti-money laundering authorities conducted searches across multiple premises in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday in connection with alleged misconduct at the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC). The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating suspected financial irregularities linked to the recruitment body under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Among the seven locations subject to ED searches was the office of K K Chandrakar, personal assistant to former state Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. The raids form part of a broader investigation into allegations of procedural violations at the CGPSC during the period when Baghel led the state government.
The ED's action represents an escalation in scrutiny of governance practices in Chhattisgarh's administrative machinery. The agency is examining potential financial flows connected to the alleged PSC irregularities as part of its money laundering probe. Officials indicated that detailed findings from the search operations would emerge in due course.
