The education advocacy group pointed to a significant decline in DepEd's budget allocation, dropping from P1.01 trillion in 2026 to P973.40 billion in the proposed 2027 budget. E-Net Philippines expressed concern that the reduction could compromise essential programs designed to support learners facing educational barriers.
The organization has urged lawmakers to prioritize increased resource allocation toward programs that directly benefit students and communities with limited access to quality education. E-Net Philippines emphasized the need to maintain funding levels that address persistent disparities in the country's education system.
