DUMAGUETE CITY — Three major Philippine education agencies are collaborating to strengthen opportunities for Filipino learners through an integrated program that bridges formal education, technical training and employment prospects.

The Department of Education, Commission on Higher Education and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority unveiled One Education at their Fourth Joint Education meeting, aimed at creating seamless transitions for students across different educational pathways.

The initiative addresses a critical gap in the current system by providing learners with more flexible options and comprehensive support as they move between basic education, higher learning and skills development programs. By coordinating efforts across the three agencies, officials hope to reduce redundancies and create clearer connections between academic training and job market demands.

One Education is expected to particularly benefit students seeking alternative routes to employment, including those pursuing technical and vocational certifications alongside or instead of traditional degree programs. The unified approach reflects growing recognition that diverse learners require varied pathways to achieve economic security and contribute meaningfully to the workforce.
