Eight Bulacan municipalities face water supply cuts during system maintenance
LSN Philippines ·
Eight towns and cities in Bulacan province will face water service interruptions on October 13 and 14 due to a scheduled system shutdown by the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS). The affected areas include the municipalities of Balagtas, Bulakan, Plaridel, Marilao, and Santa Maria, along with additional cities in the province. The Provincial Government of Bulacan announced the service suspension on Monday, giving residents and business establishments advance notice to prepare for the temporary disruption. The two-day maintenance work is part of the MWSS's regular system operations to ensure the continued reliability of water distribution infrastructure serving the region. Residents are advised to store sufficient water during the affected period to meet their essential needs. The MWSS has not provided details on whether the service interruption will affect all hours of operation or specific time windows during the two-day period.
