Eight rescuers recovered in Telangana flood operation; search continues

A flood rescue operation in Telangana's Peddacheruvu rivulet escalated into a complex recovery mission on Tuesday when two inflatable boats carrying rescue teams capsized in the turbulent waters. The incident occurred while personnel were attempting to evacuate five fishermen who had become stranded in the rising floodwaters.

According to official reports, a total of eleven rescue workers were aboard the two vessels when the boats overturned in the swollen rivulet. Emergency response teams immediately mobilized to locate the missing personnel, and eight of the eleven have since been rescued from the waters.

Search and rescue operations continue for the three remaining rescue workers who are still unaccounted for. Local authorities have deployed additional teams and resources to aid in the ongoing search effort. The exact cause of the capsizing is under investigation.

The incident underscores the hazards faced by rescue personnel operating in severe flood conditions. The five fishermen whom the teams were attempting to rescue remain a focus of the operation as rescue efforts continue in the region.
