KUALA LUMPUR — Dapat Vista (M) Sdn Bhd has acknowledged recommendations from the Public Accounts Committee regarding the eJamin platform and pledged its commitment to expediting completion of a comprehensive formal agreement governing the system's operations.
The eJamin platform, which handles bail payments for court proceedings across Malaysia, has been the subject of parliamentary scrutiny regarding its operational framework and oversight mechanisms. The PAC's findings have prompted calls for clearer contractual arrangements between the system operator and relevant government authorities.
Dapat Vista's statement indicates the company recognises the importance of establishing formal terms that would strengthen governance and accountability of the bail payment system. The operator's backing of urgent completion suggests alignment with parliamentary recommendations for enhanced regulatory clarity.
The eJamin system has become integral to Malaysia's court administration, processing bail transactions for thousands of cases annually. Formalising the operational agreement is expected to provide clearer guidelines on service delivery standards, fee structures, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
Completion of the formal agreement is anticipated to address concerns raised during the PAC's review and provide stakeholders, including the judiciary, law enforcement, and the public, with greater transparency regarding system operations and performance standards.
