Senator JV Ejercito said Thursday he is determined to eliminate further delays affecting the North-South Commuter Railway and Metro Manila Subway projects, two critical infrastructure initiatives for the capital region.

Ejercito, who chairs the Senate finance committee, made the commitment during an inspection of the NSCR's West Valenzuela Station and its Operations Control Center alongside Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez. The visit underscored the senator's direct involvement in monitoring the major transit undertakings.

The two rail projects have faced multiple construction delays and budget challenges in recent years. Ejercito's involvement in the oversight process reflects legislative efforts to keep the infrastructure programs on track and ensure timely completion of the initiatives.

The North-South Commuter Railway and Metro Manila Subway are among the Philippines' most ambitious public transportation infrastructure projects, designed to ease congestion and improve mobility across Metro Manila and neighboring regions.
