Elderly man dies in head-on collision in Monaragala district

A man in his seventies died in a head-on collision between a bus and a three-wheeler near the 4th Mile Post on the Monaragala–Wedikumbura Road on Thursday morning. The accident, which occurred in the early hours of October 28, left four others injured, according to police reports.
Among the injured were an eight-year-old girl and a woman who were travelling in the three-wheeler at the time of the collision. All four injured persons were transported to Monaragala District Hospital where they are receiving treatment for serious injuries.
