Following the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, the Election Commission of India has issued directives for a focused campaign to enroll citizens who remain unregistered, particularly first-time voters and those inadvertently excluded from existing voter lists.

The special drive represents an effort to bridge gaps in voter registration and enhance electoral participation across the country. Election officials have been tasked with identifying and facilitating the registration of eligible citizens who have not yet been added to the electoral rolls, including young voters reaching voting age and those who may have been missed during the revision process.

The initiative underscores the Commission's commitment to ensuring inclusive electoral participation and maintaining accurate, updated voter registries. State and district-level election authorities have been directed to conduct targeted outreach campaigns in identified areas to facilitate registration during a specified window.

Election officials are expected to deploy awareness programs and registration camps to reach potential voters, particularly in regions with lower enrollment rates. The drive is intended to be completed well ahead of scheduled electoral exercises to allow newly registered voters adequate time to receive their voter identification documents.
