Emcure Pharma's Q2 profit surges 29% on robust international sales

Emcure Pharmaceuticals reported a significant surge in profitability for the second quarter of fiscal 2026-27, with net profit rising 29.31 per cent year-on-year to ₹325 crore, signalling robust performance across its business segments.

The company's international operations emerged as a key growth driver, recording a substantial 34 per cent expansion to ₹1,665.2 crore during the quarter. This outpaced the growth trajectory of its domestic business, which expanded at a more measured pace of 11.1 per cent to reach ₹1,155.3 crore.

The results underscore Emcure's strengthening position in global pharmaceutical markets even as it maintains a steady presence in India's competitive domestic sector. The disparity between international and domestic growth rates reflects the company's increasing reliance on overseas markets, a trend that has become increasingly common among Indian pharmaceutical companies seeking to leverage their cost and manufacturing advantages.

With the strong quarterly performance, Emcure has positioned itself well for the remainder of the financial year, demonstrating resilience in an industry navigating varied regulatory environments and pricing pressures across different geographies.
