Emery vows undivided focus on Fulham ahead of Barcelona clash

The Spanish tactician faces a delicate balancing act as Villa prepare for consecutive high-stakes fixtures. While the Barcelona fixture represents a marquee European challenge, Emery has made clear that his immediate priorities lie with the domestic fixture against a resurgent Fulham side.

Managing fixture congestion is a familiar challenge for elite European clubs competing across multiple competitions. Emery's track record in continental football suggests he is well-versed in navigating such demands, having guided previous teams through similarly congested schedules during his tenure in European cup competitions.

Fulham have emerged as serious contenders in the Premier League this season, making Saturday's encounter a significant test for Villa's title credentials. The Birmingham-based club will look to build momentum before their midweek European sojourn.

With Barcelona awaiting in the Champions League, the pressure mounts on Villa to secure a positive result in west London. European competition brings its own tactical complexities, but Emery has insisted that Fulham deserve the complete attention of his squad and coaching staff.
